Seth Young

Before joining IJ, Seth had the pleasure of clerking for Judge Fernando Rodriguez, Jr. of the Southern District of Texas. Seth graduated from The University of Texas School of Law in 2020, where he was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology at Texas. While in law school, Seth interned for two firms, U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrew Austin, the Texas Office of the Solicitor General, and IJ’s Austin office. As an intern at IJ, Seth worked on Tennessee Wine & Spirits Retailers Association v. Thomas at the Supreme Court and Carson v. Makin before it got to the Supreme Court. Seth received his BBA with highest honors from the Business Honors program at Texas A&M University in 2016.

Originally from the beautiful Texas Hill Country, Seth has a particular understanding of the importance of property rights, as his family’s property where he grew up and where his parents still live was partially taken by eminent domain. Seth enjoys golf, hiking, reading, and country music.

Seth is licensed in Texas.
